grammar lessons will be on singular and plural pronouns. Now that our Young Author stories are
completed, we are turning our writing to Compare and Contrast Essays.
In math, we took the Chapter 7 test on division and will
turn our mathematical thinking to fractions for the next few weeks as we being
Chapter 8.
In science, we are learning about Light as a source of
energy. Students are making a Light
Poster to show their learning. These
will be displayed in the hallway as soon as they are complete and will also be highlighted
here on the blog.

Every year Bath Elementary conducts a Parent Survey to help
with school improvement efforts. The survey

2013. Please take the time to complete the survey and have your voice heard. Your input is important! Thank you!
On Tuesday, our school will began our involvement in the St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-a-thon. This project allows students an
opportunity to practice math skills while helping children battling cancer and
other diseases. They can even earn prizes for their work! On Monday, your child
received a permission slip and donation sheet. The permission slip portion only
is due back by Tuesday, March 26th,
indicating your child's interest in participating. On that slip, participants
can choose to access a book of math problems online or order a paper copy.
Students will work on these problems from April 10th through April 16th, during a
special "Math Week."
