Planting in the Hoop House on PhotoPeach
Today, we ventured out to the school's Hoop House and planted some lettuce (Mesclun--gourmet baby greens) seeds. Students will make observations and document the growth of these tasty plants over the next few weeks. Then, sometime in May, we'll be able to have a healthy, tasty, locally grown, pesticide free salad! The planting we'll be doing in the Hoop House coincides with the 3rd grade GLCE of learning about plant parts and functions. Keep watching the blog for photos and progress in the Hoop House! Thanks to our paparazzi, Lauren Blower!
