Happy New Year! 2012 is the year of the dragon. Today, students learned about the Chinese New Year and made paper lanterns to add a festive touch to our classroom. There are many traditions to celebrate the Chinese New Year that are similar to celebrating the New Year in the United States. Fireworks, lights, special food, and time spent with family are some traditions that are the same. Enjoy the fancy paper lanterns and Kung Hao Fat Choy (have a prosperous new year)!
