Beginning Monday, September 26, our classroom will be using a daily behavior chart for all students. There is a letter in your child’s mail that will explain the system in more detail. Your child will bring home a daily behavior sheet that needs to be initialed by you and sent back the next day. Thank you in advance for helping your child to return the sheet each day and for supporting respectful classroom behaviors. Please stop in, email, or call with questions.
Spelling Words for this week come from the reading selection, Whose Habitat Is It?, from Unit 1, Week 3. The words this week follow the long a spelling patterns. The pre-test will be given on Monday and the spelling test will be Friday.
Fundraiser money is due Monday, September 26.
Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner! There is a yellow sheet in your child’s mail to sign up for a time that is convenient for your schedule. Conferences this year are on Wednesday, October 19 from 5-8 PM, Thursday, October 20 from 1-4 PM and 5-8 PM. There is a half day of school on Friday, October 21.

All parents that volunteer in the classroom or attend field trips need to fill out an ICHAT background check. In past years, parents were required to stop in at Central Office. However, you can now fill in this form in the Elementary Office! Please stop by and fill in this form. The Halloween Party and other classroom events that require parent volunteers are quickly approaching.
