Thursday at ABNL on PhotoPeach
Thursday was a chilly day at the nature center, but one filled with excitement. Students learned about birds of prey from Ms. Kati, the naturalist at Harris Nature Center. They learned that there are three things that make a bird, a bird of prey--its beak, sharp talons, and keen eyesight. After our expert lesson, we moved to a workroom and dissected owl pellets. Students were so excited to discover what kind of prey their owl ate. Be sure to ask your child to tell them about the amazing facts they are learning each day. Thank you to our parent volunteers today. As always, we couldn't do it without you!
