On Monday, we celebrated George Washington's birthday by learning about his life and enjoying some sweet cherry pie.  Students learned that the story of George chopping down a cherry tree with a hatchet is a legend. They also learned that he was a very innovative farmer and looked for new, efficient ways to plant seeds.

Many students asked me to put the recipe on the blog so that you can enjoy the sweetness (and fun) at home.  Enjoy!
