It's Valentine's Week and the Third Grade Post Office! Our post office duties are Monday and Tuesday. On these days, we are responsible for delivering mail and packages to the students at Bath Elementary. The hours to buy stamps are from 9-10:30 and Noon-1:15. Between our duties of selling, sorting, cancelling, and delivering, we will make our art project for the auction at the Art and Literacy Night (February 26 5:30-7:00) and begin doing experiments for our science fair project. The Science Fair is March 20th. We'll be back to the normal classroom routines on Wednesday. On Thursday, we will have the spelling test and Weekly Assessment for The Jones Family Express. Friday is our Valentine Day Party and a half day of school. The party will begin at 10:00 and there is a breakfast theme this year. Students can bring in their valentines for classmates on Friday morning. They will decorate a bag and deliver their valentines in the morning. School is dismissed on Friday at 12:05 PM. There is no school on Monday, February 16 to celebrate President's Day.
There will be a carnation flower sale this week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (11th, 12th, and 13th). Carnations are $1.00. Proceeds go to purchase special intervention supplies.
Don't forget to sign up for Mileage Club. It only takes a few minutes and it's easy! The first class to enroll the entire class gets a fruit tray and an extra gym day from Mr. Saylor.

For families that would like to provide extra math practice for their child, I have signed the class up at CK12.org. It is a free site and has some video instruction and practice opportunities. The code to use is: ih4uj
