Turtle Update

Our guest speaker yesterday, Mark Stephens, contacted a turtle expect at MSU, Jim Harding.  The turtles are painted turtles and the winter was just too hard on them.  With prolonged ice cover from December on, they were compromised.  Not enough oxygen, not enough energy, and sadly, many did not make it.
