Today, we had follow-up teacher-led lessons on plants and plant parts that we eat! Don't be surprised if your child encourages you to stop at the Bath Farmers Market on Thursdays from 3-6 pm (at the Community Center) and then next week, across the street from the school, from 3-7 PM. Our expert speaker, Adam Montri, from Ten Hens Farm, will have his locally grown produce at the market next Thursday. We also went out to the hoop house today to plant our own veggies. In about ten days, we should see the beginning of spinach, lettuce, and radish plants. Hopefully, we'll harvest the plants and eat a tasty salad before students leave third grade! Tomorrow, we go to Potter Park for Arbor Day, so dress your child for the weather and bring a sack lunch.
