Soil Study
We have been learning about rocks, minerals, and soil for the past two weeks. Many students have brought in fascinating rocks that they have at home and have identified them based on what they have learned. The hands-on learning is always fun and so memorable. To go along with observing rocks and minerals, today students made observations with soil. Thanks to my husband's never ending supply of composted horse manure, students were able to "dig in" with a popsicle stick and a hand lens. Make sure to ask your child about their observations and have them tell you all they know about soil. Hopefully, they'll tell you that "soil is more valuable than gold!" Enjoy the photos. The test on Chapter 7 will be Thursday.
