This week in Room 210 students will compare and contrast two stories written by the same author. (RL.3.9). The story in the basal is called One Riddle, One Answer written by Lauren Thompson. We will look at another one of her books, Mouse's First Christmas, and compare the setting and plot. The spelling words are r-controlled vowels with the pattern of --are, --air, and --ear. (Unit 3, Week 2) In grammar, we will learn about past tense verbs.
We are wrapping up the science unit on water and will have the chapter assessment on Wednesday, December 11. Students have many study tools to use that will help them to prepare for the test. In addition to their study sheets, two videos can help review the important concepts. Links:
