Wednesday at ABNL

Despite the rain again today, we had some fantastic learning inside Bengel Wildlife Center.  Today's expert speaker was Adam Montri, owner and operator of Ten Hens Farm on Clark Road in Bath.  Mr. Montri shared his extensive knowledge of plant parts and functions.  After learning about the job of each plant part, students were able to dissect a daffodil (donated by Van Atta's Greenhouse) and take notes in their journals.  After lunch, we learned about the plant parts that we eat! Yum-o! We even tasted some plant parts and voted for our favorite parts.  The winner was roots with 18 votes! Students tasted carrots and radishes this afternoon.  Enjoy the videos and images of the day.
