Voyageur Encampment 2012
Voyageur Encampment 2012 on PhotoPeach
Thursday's weather was perfect and the parent volunteers were fantastic. The Voyageur Encampment is an event that cannot be run successfully without parent help. Many thanks go to the parent helpers that helped make a great day of learning for students. From chaperoning groups of students to preparing the stew and noon meal, parents were invaluable. Thanks go to Mr. Clarke, Mr. & Mrs. Klusack, Mrs. McIntyre, Mrs. Simpson, Mr. Tiraboschi, and Mrs. Wilson.
"Bear Woman" and her colleagues from Project Lakewell presented stories, artifacts, and information about our state in the 1700s when the British, French, and Native Americans inhabited the area. They captured the imaginations and helped students wonder and ask questions. What a fantastic way to learn! Enjoy the photos from the day.
