I
hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a short week
ahead! This week marks the last week for
the Weekly Assessment in reading and spelling words! The reading selection this week is called
Mother to Tigers and the spelling words use suffixes. A list will come home on Tuesday with
students and they can practice these words at spellingcity.com. We will finish 3rd grade with two chapters in GOMath on geometry and measurement, writing a personal essay, and a Michigan Model unit on Drugs and Alcohol.
On Monday, June 4, 3rd grade students will have
Field Days beginning in the afternoon.
Please have your child wear a blue shirt so that Mr. Saylor can easily
identify the “Wood Kids”. New this year
will be a slip ‘n slide. Students can
wear a bathing suit underneath their t-shirts and shorts. Girls, please wear one-piece suits or suits
that cover plenty of skin!
Wednesday, June 6, is an Early Release day at 2:15; half
days with dismissal at 12:05 are Thursday and Friday, June 7 and 8. The final day of third grade with report
cards given is Friday, June 8!
