Holiday Mug Exchange
Students really enjoyed the festivities on Thursday and Friday. The mug exchange was lots of fun and students enjoyed drinking hot cocoa out of their new mugs. We had a chance to talk about the things we were thankful for in Third Grade and reflect on the year so far. It's hard to believe that it's almost half over! After our time of reflection, students ate Christmas cookies, ate donuts, drank hot cocoa and watched a movie. On Friday, students participated in Multi-Cultural Day and had a chance to learn how people in different countries and cultures celebrate the holidays. In the afternoon, we finished our parent gifts (you're in for a treat), ate cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, and cleaned out our desks. We are ready to start 2012 with clean desks and will be ready to set some fantastic learning goals. Remember to keep reading over the break to keep up the reading fluency gains that have been made. Have a fantastic holiday and enjoy the time with your child.
