Winter Art
We came back from the first snow day of the year and had some great fun at recess. Please make sure your child has boots, mittens or gloves, a hat, snow pants and a coat. Without these items to keep them protected and warm they are at a greater risk for cold weather problems. If the wind chill is below zero students do not go outside.
We read The Legend of the Poinsettia, written by Tomie DePaola, this morning and then got really creative with some tempera paint. Students used sponges cut in the shapes of petals to make poinsettia art. These works of art are displayed in the hallway and have already received lots of positive compliments.
The classroom party is Thursday at 2:30 PM. Hope to see you there.
