On Monday, September 27, students in Room 210 welcomed Mrs. Lou Hixson to our classroom to talk about Constitution Day. She is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She talked to third grade students about how our Founding Fathers gathered in Pennsylvania in 1787 to write the rules for our country to follow. She focused on the Preamble to the Constitution and explained what some of those big concepts mean to kids! She also presented each student with a small flag. Thanks, Mrs. Hixson.
