We are so fortunate to have another Korean Intern in our school for the year. Ms. Kim, who is residing at the home of Anthony Nichols, comes to our classroom twice a week to teach us about the culture, customs, and history of Korea. This week students learned about the national flower, Mugunghwa, the Rose of Sharon. The flower is a symbol of the determination and perseverance of the Korean people. Ms. Kim taught students how to make an origami flower and students collaboratively placed their flowers on a mural in the shape of the Korean peninsula. We look forward to all we can learn about Korea from Ms. Kim.
