Monday at Bengel

We couldn't have asked for better weather for the first Monday of November. Enjoy some of the photos, thoughts and journal entries of these Fourth Grade Naturalists.

"I feel the warm sun beating down on my face, and the thorn bushes rubbing against my legs. I hear the wild birds sing so loud it sounds like an orchestra, and the slimy frogs screaming in the distance."--Kailey Wahrer

"Of all the things I did today, the best was jumping on the bog! I love it. It was so much fun. It felt like a mattress! I hope I get to go to the bog soon. But, there were no trees. I wonder why it's a bog, but no trees? The water was seeping in my tennis shoes jump after jump."--Aubrey Opphile

"Of all the things I did today, the best was jumping on the big bog. As soon as I saw it, it didn't look that cool. But, when I jumped off of the wooden board and onto the brown, mushy grass, I sunk. I love it because it is a place like no other place I have never, ever seen!"--Grant Sattler

"Of all the things I did today, the best was my sketching. Today I think I did the most detailed sketching I did this whole year. I did awesome on my sketch."--Andrew Schonfeld

"I see the trees shake off their leaves. It looks like their shedding. One tree looks like it has butterflies dancing. Also, it looks like it has a whole bunch of silver dollars on it. If it was silver dollars I would pick them off and I would be rich!"--Madison Rich
