Friday News

MEAP testing begins on Tuesday, October 14. Please make sure your child gets adequate sleep and a good breakfast.

COFFEE BASKET

The PTA will be putting on a silent basket auction during the School Carnival on October 10. Our class will be hosting the Coffee Basket. Students are welcome to bring in donations to fill the basket. Some items have been donated already, but we sure could use a few more. Thank you in advance for sending in a donation.

TISSUE DONATIONS
We are on the verge of the cold season with lots of sneezes and runny noses. We have one box of tissues in our room and could use more to get us through the coming winter months. If you have an extra box and could donate it to the class, there would plenty of thankful 4th graders!

HEALTHY SCHOOL PARTIES & SNACKS
Below is a list of healthy snacks to consider for parties, birthdays, and our daily snack. Please choose from the list below to help keep our kids healthy and ready to learn.

Fresh fruit and veggies, yogurt, bagels with low fat cream cheese, animal crackers, baked chips, lowfat popcorn, granola bars, pretzels, string cheese, and cereal bars.

SWIMMING

Our class will begin swimming lessons on Thursday, October 23. Students will need to bring a bathing suit and towel in a plastic bag each Thursday until December 18. It is preferred that girls wear one piece suits and boys wear suits that are not too big. That way there will be no embarrassing moments when students dive into the pool!
Additionally, the boys’ locker room will need an adult male chaperone! If there is a dad who would like to volunteer his services from October 23-December 18, please contact me by phone (641-6771 ext. 2325, email cwood@bath.k12.mi.us, or stop in. Many thanks in advance for your help.
