Hoop House Harvest

Yesterday, we harvested the lettuce that we had planted just before Spring Break.  We should have harvested a couple of weeks ago, but with M-Step and NWEA, we were delayed! Some of the lettuce was a little mature and some was just right for the cutting.  Today, we had a lettuce salad along with a little pizza round topped with basil that we grew in the AeroGarden.  It was a fun way to spend the last full day of third grade.  Maybe your child will convince you to grow some herbs this summer!
