It was great to see parents at conferences last week. We had 100% turn out in Room 210! Thank you for taking time out of your schedules to meet and discuss your child's academic progress in Third Grade. The end of the first marking period is Friday, October 31. Report cards will be sent home on the following Friday, November 7.
All third grade classrooms will be taking part in Annie's BIG Nature Lesson during the week of November 11-14. This year we will be traveling to Woldumar Nature Center at 5739 Old Lansing Road. Situated along the Grand River with 1.25 miles of shoreline, Woldumar represents one of the most diverse ecosystems
in the region. More than 5 miles of trails await our students on 178 acres of woodland, prairie, river-side and pine forest. If you would like to help out for a morning, afternoon, or the entire day, just let me know. A sign up sheet will be coming home with your child on Monday or Tuesday. Please pack a cold lunch each day and have your child dress for the weather. We go outside for observation time and lessons rain or shine, snow or sleet! Dressing in layers is always the best way to stay comfortable. Also, have your child wear old shoes that can get wet or muddy on the trails.
Picture Retakes are Tuesday, October 28. Fundraiser money is due on Thursday, October 30. The Halloween Parade and Party is Friday, October 31. The parade begins at 2:00 PM. Students can start to get ready for the parade after the Math Walk-To at 1:15 PM.
A friendly reminder that an iCHAT Background Check must be completed before you can come to the Halloween Party or ABNL.
