Week of November 18-22

We will begin a new chapter in science on a very important natural resource -- water! The vocabulary words for this chapter are on the Prezi. Students will need to know the meaning of these words and answer questions about them for the chapter test.

This week the reading selection is called, Author: A True Story. Students will read an autobiography written and illustrated by Helen Lester, author of the Tacky, the Penguin books. The skill is identifying the author's purpose and the strategy is to summarize. In spelling, students will have words with the following consonant pairs--gn, kn and wr. (Unit 2, Week 5)
