Week of April 15-19

We're back in the classroom this week! In reading, we will read an informational article from Time for Kids called A Carousel of Dreams (Unit 5, Week 3) and identify facts and opinions.  Spelling words will focus on word endings where students change the "y" to an "i" before adding the suffix.  In grammar, we will learn about subject and object pronouns.  In writing, students will write a Personal Narrative about their week at ABNL.  They will choose one memorable moment and really zoom in to tell about it using descriptive words and complex sentences.  In math, we are continuing our chapter on Fractions.  Students will learn about Force and Motion and in Social Studies, begin learning about our fantastic state and those that came before us.  It promises to be a busy week!

Bath Elementary PTA Fundraiser

Gleason Portrait Gallery is working with The Bath Elementary PTA to offer the perfect opportunity for a spring family portrait.   Master Craftsman Photographer Rod Gleason will be photographing families at his studio located on Clark Road (across from Bath High School) in May.  An informational flyer with the details has been sent home (additional ones are located in the lobby as well).  This is a great deal and supports the many student activities PTA sponsors!  Please call the office if you are interested in capturing your family smiles!
