Before Hurricane Sandy made her way across mid-Michigan and ripped every leaf from its branch, we were able to create some vibrant, brilliant fall art. Students outlined the shape of several leaves and changed colors and designs whenever they crossed a line. As you can see, the right side of the brain really took over and students were able to create some imaginative and stunning pieces of art. In addition to art, the students wrote Cinquain poems. Cinquain is a classic 5-line poem. The first line is a noun, the second line is two adjectives that describe the noun, the third line is three words that show the action of the noun, the fourth line is four words that describe the feeling of the noun, and the last line is one word that is a synonym of the first line. I hope you are able to see them up close tomorrow at the Halloween
Party. If not, enjoy the slide show and their creative abilities.
