The first day of third grade went so fast! Whew! I don't know about your child, but it seemed to just fly by for me. We spent most of the day learning about routines and expectations and then practicing those skills. Many students are making good behavior choices and have great ideas about what is needed to be successful in third grade. We will continue to focus on expectations this week and begin the pre-assessments in the content areas tomorrow. The slide show below shows some of the ideas that students came up with when asked what would make the classroom run smoothly. As you'll see, there is a theme emerging! Students want a clean, quiet classroom to work in and they want to be able to walk without tripping! I love it! Out of the mouths of third graders!
