In celebration of "March is Reading Month", doors throughout the school have been decorated with a book title. We chose to make a collage of titles from The Magic Tree House series written by Mary Pope Osborn. These are books are a favorite in our classroom as we read about the amazing adventures of Jack and Annie.
Today, we had the pleasure of listening to local author, Robbyn Smith. She and her husband, Nick VanFrankenhuyzen, have written and illustrated many books that tell about their experiences rehabilitating wildlife. Robbyn was entertaining and informative. Don't be surprised if your child wants to be an author, illustrator, or animal take-care-of-er when they grow up!
PBK (Parents, Books, and Kids) takes place in the Media Center every day. Stop in and spend a few minutes reading with your child. It could be the best minutes of your day!
