Monday at ABNL on PhotoPeach
It was a rainy day at Harris Nature Center in Okemos, but one filled with lots of signs of spring and animal life. Thank you to Mrs. Wargo, Mr. Cook and Mr. Jubb for taking time out of their day to come to the Center and help with student groups. We started our day with a Discovery Walk let by the naturalist, Miss Kit. She showed us many of the early wildflowers--bloodroot and Dutchman's Britches. Signs of habitats (a coyote burrow) were found along with other clues that let us know wildlife was around. We saw animal tracks, (raccoon, deer, and coyote) scat, and tufts of fur. There is so much to see and so many clues just waiting for us to discover. Keep checking back for more photos of our week!
