14th Annual Children's Water Festival
Today, we spent the majority of our day on the MSU campus attending the Children's Water Festival. The goal of the festival is to educate fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students on the importance of water conservation and protection. Through the use of hands-on activities and presentations the students become more aware of the relationship between water, their community, and themselves. The festival teaches them concepts that they can use in their daily routine that will help strengthen these relationships by preserving our water supply. We learned about the aquifer, rainwater run-off, and how to tell if a stream is healthy. Don't be surprised if your child encourages you not to use chemicals or pesticides on your turf grass!
